Modern slavery is an egregious crime and a blatant violation of fundamental human rights. It manifests in various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor, and human trafficking, all sharing the reprehensible trait of depriving individuals of their liberty for exploitation, whether for personal or commercial gain.

Well Health Pharma LTD unequivocally adopts a zero-tolerance stance towards modern slavery. We are steadfast in our commitment to conduct business ethically and with unwavering integrity. This commitment extends to all our business dealings and relationships. We are dedicated to establishing and enforcing robust systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery finds no place within our organization or any tier of our extensive supply chains.

We are equally committed to fostering transparency in our operations and addressing the challenge of modern slavery throughout our supply chains. This dedication aligns with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Expecting the highest standards from our contractors, suppliers, and business partners, we will, as part of our contracting processes, introduce explicit prohibitions against forced, compulsory, or trafficked labor. This includes individuals held in slavery or servitude, irrespective of age, and we anticipate our suppliers to maintain equivalent high standards within their own supply chains.

This policy applies universally to all individuals working for or on behalf of Well Health Pharma LTD, encompassing employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.

While this policy does not form part of any employee’s contract of employment, we reserve the right to amend it at any time.

Responsibility for the Policy

Well Health Pharma LTD assumes overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy aligns with our legal and ethical obligations and that all entities under our influence comply with its principles. The primary and day-to-day responsibility for implementing this policy, monitoring its efficacy, addressing queries, and auditing internal control systems lies with Well Health Pharma LTD. Managers at all levels are accountable for ensuring their subordinates understand and comply with this policy, receiving regular and comprehensive training on modern slavery within supply chains.

We welcome comments on this policy and encourage suggestions for improvement. Queries, comments, and suggestions should be directed to the Managing Director.

Compliance with the Policy

All individuals are obliged to read, understand, and adhere to this policy. The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains are collective responsibilities. Individuals must refrain from any activity that might suggest or lead to a breach of this policy.

Immediate notification to your line manager or a company Director is mandatory if a conflict with this policy is suspected or believed to have occurred. Raising concerns about modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains, regardless of the supplier tier, is actively encouraged.

Any suspected or actual breach of this policy must be reported promptly to your line manager or company Director, or in accordance with our Whistleblowing Policy.

While prioritizing the welfare and safety of local workers, we will provide support and guidance to our suppliers to address coercive, abusive, and exploitative work practices in their business and supply chains.

For any uncertainty regarding whether an act, the treatment of workers, or their working conditions constitute modern slavery within any tier of our supply chains, consult your line manager or company Director.

Our commitment is to foster openness and support anyone raising genuine concerns in good faith under this policy. We are dedicated to ensuring no one faces detrimental treatment for reporting suspicions of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains.

Detrimental treatment encompasses dismissal, disciplinary action, threats, or any unfavorable treatment connected with raising a concern. In cases of perceived detrimental treatment, inform your line manager immediately. If not remedied, employees should formally raise the matter using our Grievance Procedure, outlined in the current employee handbook.

This Modern (Anti) Slavery Policy and Statement is designed for global applicability, especially in the United Kingdom, and is presented by Well Health Pharma LTD.

Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery will be communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them. This commitment will be reinforced as deemed necessary thereafter.
